See TQ3286 : The Castle (photographed by Malc McDonald). The engine house was built by William Chadwell Mylne in 1855. He was the younger son of Robert Mylne, engineer to the New River Company from 1767 to his death in 1811; William is buried in the family tomb at the church of St. John the Baptist, Great Amwell TL3712 : The Mylne family tomb.
