Porth Wen Brick Works - remains of steam engine
Porth Wen Brick Works - remains of steam engine
These are the very incomplete remains of a horizontal single cylinder engine by Thomas C Fawcett of Leeds. Fawcett specialised in brick works machinery. This is a spectacular site that is gradually crumbling away and also being reclaimed by the sea. There are also the very, very incomplete remains of a steam crane consisting of the base and cylinder block.
