Former builders' yard reconstructed in the Black Country Living Museum, Dudley
Former builders' yard reconstructed in the Black Country Living Museum, Dudley
This reconstruction is of a builders' yard of the 1920s. The stone hovel in the foreground, part of a yard in Millfield Road Bilston, may have been used for stone working. The brick office behind it is a replica of the one that was next to the hovel. Many of the goods sold at yards like this (builders' hardware, bricks and lime),
came from the Black Country.
