The Aberystwyth Maze or Rope Labyrinth
The Aberystwyth Maze or Rope Labyrinth
Built and opened in 2013 on the site of a disused bowling green, formerly the site of a ropeworks. Made of 670 wooden poles and 1,200 metres of hemp rope. There is only one route through, so technically it is a labyrinth rather than a maze. It is 900 metres into the centre and 900 metres back again, if you don't cheat. It is accessible for wheelchair users.
