Swaffham Parish Church War Memorial Window: Zeebrugge
The former chapel of the guild of Corpus Christi, in the south transept of the church, is now the War Memorial Chapel. Dedicated after the Great War, it now incorporates the Second World War Memorial.

The main feature is a large window by Morris & Co. The four main figures are St George, St Martin, St Michael and the Blessed Virgin, but perhaps more interesting are the smaller panels at the bottom, which depict four incidents involving Swaffham people in the war. This panel commemorates the action at Zeebrugge, where Leading Seaman Evans of Swaffham was the helmsman of the block ship used to stop enemy U-boats.
The Church of St Peter and St Paul, Swaffham

The Church of St Peter and St Paul at Swaffham is one of the finest mediæval churches in East Anglia. It was built between the years of 1454-1465 on the remains of the previous church which had partly collapsed. The tower was added between 1507 and 1510.

The church, which is built of Barnack stone, brick and flint, is in the Perpendicular style. It has the traditional cruciform plan of chancel, nave and transepts with north and south aisles and a square tower. Its total length is 173 feet from west to east.

The church is a grade I listed building (English Heritage Building ID: 460562 LinkExternal link British Listed Buildings).
