The present oak benches, in the nave, date from the middle of the nineteenth century. These have carved finials, four of which represent the Evangelists. The eagle represents St John.
The Church of St Peter and St Paul, Swaffham
The Church of St Peter and St Paul at Swaffham is one of the finest mediŠval churches in East Anglia. It was built between the years of 1454-1465 on the remains of the previous church which had partly collapsed. The tower was added between 1507 and 1510.

The church, which is built of Barnack stone, brick and flint, is in the Perpendicular style. It has the traditional cruciform plan of chancel, nave and transepts with north and south aisles and a square tower. Its total length is 173 feet from west to east.

The church is a grade I listed building (English Heritage Building ID: 460562 LinkExternal link British Listed Buildings).
