Fakenham Museum of Gas & Local History - steam engine
This is a Reader of Nottingham inverted vertical single cylinder (enclosed) steam engine that is not indigenous to the site. This is No. 24937. It originally drove conveyors at Bishop's Stortford Gas Works, then spent time in store before again powering conveyors at March Gas works. It ended up in the garden of a private collector before coming to Fakenham. Its current condition is not known to me.
