The Wool Grader (John Spencer) is seen craning in wool sheets that have been delivered from nearby Forster Square Station. In earlier years delivery was by horse and cart and then steam lorry. The company closed in 1964. The modern view is SE1633 : Dale Street.

A worsted top is the product of combing. The fibres are parallel to each other and shorter fibres (noil) have been removed. The next process is spinning to make yarn. LinkExternal link
