Packwood House dates from Tudors times and was much restored by Graham Baron Ash in the early twentieth century. The house is now in the care of the National Trust, here it is viewed from the south.
This wrought-iron gate leads from the topiary garden to the house, and the alcove in the wall to its right is one of several that used to shelter straw bee-hives (aka skeps).
