This is the replacement for the shed in my earlier photographs.

It seems to me that nothing is more representative of a suburban square than the garden shed, an object chosen not by the house builder but by the home owner, making the same sort of compromises over size, cost, and the use of space but on a smaller scale.

The tree behind is a male Acer Negundo (Box Elder, Ash-Leaved Maple), identified for me in an internet forum many years ago by the invaluable David Poole.

Back gardens are under-represented on Geograph, and I have included a scatter of mine down the years because of forum discussions on the matter.
