Maize and stubble
Maize and stubble
Several fields of maize are being grown in this area of the Fens as a feedstock for anaerobic digestion systems that turn it into biogas and then electricity. It is otherwise grown as a fodder crop for livestock but there is limited demand for this in the mostly arable Fens.
