A closer view of SJ3193 : The Black Pearl Driftwood Sculpture, New Brighton Beach

The pirate ship sculpture was built predominantly of driftwood and things washed up on the beach in January 2013. Since then, it has been rebuilt several times following damage by fires, storms and floods. Visitors and their children are encouraged to explore the sculpture.
