Humber float no 27 at low tide in stormy weather
Humber float no 27 at low tide in stormy weather
Looking south towards the Lincolnshire bank. The tide is still going out, and a strong wind is blowing from the south-west. The navigation buoys and floats in the Humber are regularly moved as the sandbanks and mudbanks shift. Seen from the barge Sobriety, heading downstream on a falling tide. The barge is part of the Yorkshire Waterways Museum's collection.
