All Saints' church, Legbourne
Grade I listed

The church dates from around 1380, with a 14th century west tower, nave with north and south aisles, with clerestory above from the 15th century, chancel and south porch. The tower has five bells, the oldest dates from circa 1500.
The church was probably paid for by the Legbourne family, who owned a Manor in the village.
At the east end of the south aisle there was once a chantry dedicated to John Legbourne, who was a Canon of Lincoln Cathedral.
The nave has arcades of four bays with octagonal piers, the chancel arch is from circa 1380 and there is a 15th century Rood screen.
The octagonal font is perpendicular with shields carved on the bowl.

The chancel is 19th-century, and was rebuilt in 1868 when the church was restored by Rogers and Marsden.

There is a monument to Frederick and Edmund Allenby, Frederick drowned off Mablethorpe in 1815, and Edmund died after climbing Mount Etna!

The organ is by Forster and Andrews from 1868.
Much of the 19th century stained-glass is by Frederick Preedy. Some of the windows contain fragments of mediaeval glass.

In 2011 a kitchen and toilet were installed and the church was rewired and the lighting upgraded.
