taken 9 years ago, near to Llandudno, Conwy, Wales
West Shore Tram Shelter
The tram shelter was built in 1907 at the West Shore terminus of the Llandudno tram system. It is a circular plan shelter with iron columns and stallrisers; metal glazing; recesses for benches, and a doorway to the south. It has a shallow-pitch roof with deep eaves and a central dome with finial. The roof and dome are clad in copper. It is Grade II listed
Link and is one of few remaining buildings from Llandudno's once extensive tram system.
The tramway operated from 1907 until 1956 and ran via Rhos on Sea to Colwyn Bay. More information on the line can be found on The Llandudno and Colwyn Bay Tramway Society website:

There have been plans in place over the years to restore the shelter for use as a café but only recently have funds been provided by the Town Council for refurbishment.
