Lost Weekend
Lost Weekend
WanderBox LinkExternal link is a custom-built, portable contemporary art space presented by artist Jo Marsh, offering residencies to both established and emerging visual artists in a wide variety of locations and settings. The project hosts exhibitions of contemporary visual art, and serves as a base for performance and participatory practice.

For LLAWN03 LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) the WanderBox residency was taken up by local artist Antonia Dewhurst LinkExternal link with "Lost Weekend" which arose after a young photography student in 2014 found an undeveloped film in a secondhand camera. Processing revealed 8 poignant photos of a 1970s family holiday in Llandudno and Llanfairfechan.

Visitors to an empty shop in Vaughan Street next to the Mostyn Art Gallery were encourage to look through the photographs and write their own responses to them. My personal contribution in response to one of the photographs was:

changing cossies
in the boot of the car
parents keep guard

Lines from some of the contributions were written on the side of the Wanderbox SH7882 : Wanderbox.
Llawn03 (Llandudno Arts Weekend #3)
LLAWN is a mini festival that rediscovers and celebrates Llandudno's past via art, architecture, artefact, sound, performance, and participation. Over the weekend of 18th-20th September 2015 a variety of multi discipline events took place in various locations, incorporating buildings (some off limits to the public); the pavement; the promenade; the pier; empty shops; galleries; open studios; the seafront shelters; the bandstand, Victorian Bathing Machines and even a ski slope and a cave.

LLAWN03 introduced an international flavour whilst continuing to reflect and reconfigure the history and culture of its setting with Welsh artists, including Megan Broadmeadow, Eli Acheson-Elmassry, Shani Rhys James, Charles Gershom, Ffloc, the Haus of Helfa residents and others expressing their varied interpretations of Llandudno's past, present and future.
