SK5878 : Worksop Priory, west front

taken 9 years ago, near to Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England

Worksop Priory, west front
Worksop Priory, west front
A lull in traffic allowed an almost flat-on view of the front of the church. The front remains – unusually – virtually as built in the 12th century, the most obvious addition being the later (14th century) crenellation. There is a bench mark Link in the centre of the base of the right hand tower.
