The Coronation of Henry III by Clayton & Bell, 1860.
The Coronation took place in the cathedral in 1216.
Henry was crowned with a golden bracelet from his mother's arm, as the crown was lost in the Lincolnshire fens by King John.

Gloucester Cathedral
The Cathedral originated in 678 or 679 with the foundation of an abbey dedicated to Saint Peter. The foundations of the present church were laid by Abbot Serlo (10721104). LinkExternal link
