The longest passenger system in Great Britain, the Llandudno cable car system measures 5,320 feet in length. It runs from Happy Valley to the summit of Great Orme, seven days a week, from Easter through to the end of October. This cable car system was launched in 1969 as the Llandudno Cabin Lift Co. Ltd, and was later renamed in 1988 as Llandudno Cable Car Ltd. It consists of 42 cabins, which travel at a speed of 600 feet per minute. Each cabin can seat four people.
