Kitty Brewster Bridge
Kitty Brewster Bridge
The Kitty Brewster Bridge carries the A189 over the River Blyth (seen at low tide). Beyond is a rail bridge NZ2782, part of a network of railways built primarily to serve the collieries of south-east Northumberland, under the general name of the Blyth and Tyne railway. The line has been closed for passenger traffic for many years but still carries freight.
