Personally, it put me in mind of a meerkat, but perhaps that's just indicative of the success of the insurance advertising campaign of the last 15 years or so.
The 1992 Climbers' Club guide to the area describes it thus:
"[The Camel] has been assaulted from all sides, Carruthers. As with most camels, the hardest approach is frontal; up and over the snout at 5c"
