Sanday: Quoyness chambered cairn
Sanday: Quoyness chambered cairn
One of many chambered cairns in Orkney, this one on Els Ness is particularly worth visiting. Dating from around 5,000 years ago, the original entrance, which we see in front of us, would have been covered over but it is now uncovered, to help today's visitor.
