Above the clouds, Warton Crag
Well, fog perhaps rather than cloud. When the mist rolled in during the afternoon only the upper 50m or so of the crag was clear. It was a typical inversion - cool and clammy down below but warm (too warm for a soft shell jacket!) on the top. Being so close to the top of the cloud/fog meant that it was hard to get any distant view but I think something in the southern Lake District may just be visible? Elsewhere in the UK the whole country seemed to be fog-bound with the usual chaos at various airports. I'm sure anyone on a high fell would have seen some great cloud inversions recently.
