Pier Park
Pier Park
See NS3974 : Pier Park for the main description of the park. It is named after Dumbarton Pier, which had fallen into disuse by 1900, and which was eventually removed.

Dumbarton Rock is in the background. Dumbarton Castle was closed on the day this picture was taken; the ticket office is in the Governor's House (NS4074 : Dumbarton Rock: The Governor's House), shown here covered with scaffolding.

At the far right is the club house of the bowling club (NS4074 : Dumbarton Rock bowling Club).
