The locomotive is a registered war memorial to commemorate the Far Eastern prisoners of war 1941-1945. It is an 0-4-0ST by R & W Hawthorn, Leslie & Co of Newcastle, No. 3865 of 1936 and used in the Singapore dock yards. It suffered shrapnel damage that is still visible. In 1953 it was returned for service at Chatham dock yard and entered preservation in 1972. It is currently out of service.
