TF4812 : The Fenland and West Norfolk Aviation Museum
taken 8 years ago, near to Walton Highway, Norfolk, England
The Fenland and West Norfolk Aviation Museum can be found within the Bambers Garden & Leisure complex on the south side of Lynn Road near West Walton. The museum was founded in 1975 by the Fenland and West Norfolk Aircraft Preservation Society and has since greatly expanded and changed locations several times. The Society is actively involved in the research and recovery of historical aircraft and many of the recovered aircraft parts and their history can be seen on display, along with other local finds. One of the current projects is the restoration of a De Havilland Vampire T11.
The museum is open on weekends and bank holidays from 10am until 5pm and on Wednesdays from 1pm until 4pm, and well worth a visit. Please note that the museum is closed during the winter months. Link
