Is There Anybody Out There?
Is There Anybody Out There?
This picture shows Cambridge University's Travelling Radio Telescope Array. The dishes are situated along about 5km of “Beechingised” railway line. By combining the signals from a number of small dishes the effective size of the receiver is increased significantly. The dishes are used to research the secrets of the universe.
