SJ9274 : The gasholder is intact

taken 5 years ago, near to Hurdsfield, Cheshire, Great Britain

The gasholder is intact
The gasholder is intact
It's not just the giant frame that is still here. The cap of the gasholder itself can be seen, flush with the ground, and with the wheels that help it rise and fall on the legs intact and maintained.

I suspect this installation is maintained in a working condition for some strategic purpose. It can be seen partially inflated in SJ9274 : Gas holder, Garden Street, Macclesfield and SJ9274 : Nicholson Avenue, Macclesfield from 2009
