B6521 Road

The B6521 is a secondary road in the Peak District starting on the A623 west of Stoney Middleton.
At first Eyam is reached known as the Plague Village. If you survive follow the B6521 round to Grindleford where there is a short multiplex with the B6001
Off towards Sheffield now and after crossing the River Derwent climb up through the woods to end at the Fox House Inn and the A6187 (ex A625). It runs 5 miles from Stoney Middleton to Fox House Inn.

A6187 Road

The A6187 was formerly part of the A625 and was the route from Sheffield to Manchester avoiding the notorious Snake Pass. However, the through route was closed in 1979 and the number changed in 2000. The road is therefore now less important, although still very busy with tourists. The road runs 11 miles from Fox Inn to Castleton.
