Fort Royal Hill provides a splendid view of Worcester Cathedral as can be seen here. Fort Royal Hill was constructed by the Royalists during the English Civil War and is a good defensive point above the city, however, during the Battle of Worcester in September 1651 it was captured by Cromwell's Parliamentarian forces which provided them with a good vantage point to bombard the city walls below.
