Railway platforms at Great Longstone
Railway platforms at Great Longstone
The disused railway station at Great Longstone lies outside the village to the south-east. Although the platforms remain in place the station closed to passenger traffic in September 1962 and finally to all trains in March 1967. The old rail bed is now of course part of The Monsal Trail.
