SK1364 : Ramp to a former farm access

taken 8 years ago, near to Pilsbury, Derbyshire, England

Ramp to a former farm access
Ramp to a former farm access
There used to be a railway bridge here, and this was an access ramp for the traffic going under it. The bridge and the ramp were built when the line was re-routed to ease the curve, here, in 1894. Since the line closed, the bridge has been filled-in, as has the older bridge that carried the original line, making the ramp redundant.
