Radcliffe’s new town-centre bus station opened to passengers on 13 December 2015. This is after development of the former car park site opposite the previous bus station on Dale Street (SD7806 : Radcliffe Bus Station, Dale Street). The new station has increased capacity and passengers will also benefit from new purpose-built shelters which incorporate live travel information and CCTV.

Work has already begun on the next phase of the regeneration plan which will involve the demolition of the previous bus station site and unsurfaced car park (see SD7806 : Clearing Former Bus Station Site at Dale Street), in readiness for a new retail-led development including shops, a supermarket, a ground level car park off Pilkington Way and a pedestrian areas.
