Remains of the High Peak Silica Works
Remains of the High Peak Silica Works
In the early 20th century, raw materials were brought here by tramway from nearby clay pits, processed and then dispatched via a short branch from the Ashbourne and Buxton railway. All that's left now is a few concrete footings.
