Heading towards Silverdale below the cliffs at Far Arnside
The tide has receded and we can traverse the mud and sand below the low limestone cliffs. A few hours earlier, we had originally planned to walk out from Silverdale along this stretch of coast but the tide was in. This is not a place to be with an incoming tide and it is easy to get cut off. The setting sun is making the cliffs glow a lovely honey colour.
