Boscombe: a windy, drizzly Christmas walk on the pier
Boscombe: a windy, drizzly Christmas walk on the pier
A fair number of people were about on the beach and pier this Christmas Day afternoon, despite the terrible weather. The wind was a gusty southewesterly, hence most people using the comparatively sheltered eastern side of the pier. The picture is taken at about 1:05 and the rain did abate for an hour or so at 2ish.

A recent addition to the pier is a music trail, starting with the bells in front of us, which can be struck with the hammer provided. Further on, a glockenspiel type thing produces the tune to Oh I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside when struck in order.
