Watching The Water Fall
Watching The Water Fall
A pair of walkers pause to watch the River Irwell, swollen by recent heavy rainfall, cascade over Bealey's Weir at Warth Mill. The weir originally served Bealey's Bleach Works. The building to the left hand side of the weir is the relatively new "Hydropower" hydro-electricity installation installed in 2012 (see SD7909 : Hydropower Generator, River Irwell. and SD7909 : Hydropower Generator, Bealey's Goit for close-up views).
