'Charcoal Art', a Grizedale Forest sculpture
Created in 2006 by Mary Low, this does not feature on our 2003 sculpture map so was rather a surprise and almost passed by unnoticed. It seems to have been made to resemble prehistoric cave paintings so is the human figure spearing an animal (or taking his dog for a walk?). Coincidentally, this was visited earlier in the day SD3493 : Art in Grizedale by another Geographer, Kate Jewell Link.
