Former Butterley Works
This famous engineering works was founded in 1790 as Benjamin Outram & Co and later became the Butterley Co. It closed in 2009 and has been largely demolished. An early product is the 1833 land drainage engine at Pinchbeck while recent products include the Falkirk Wheel and Portsmouth's Spinnaker Tower.
