SJ6703 : Abraham Darby's Iron Bridge

taken 4 years ago, near to Ironbridge, Telford And Wrekin, Great Britain

Abraham Darby's Iron Bridge
Abraham Darby's Iron Bridge
Built in 1779, this was a revolutionary structure in its day, being the first to use cast iron in its construction. It's built largely with carpentry techniques, so people who know about these things tell me, because the builders of the time were more used to working with timber. Photographed on medium format film using a Mamiya C330 twin lens camera on a tripod.
