Stream in Parrot's Drumble
Stream in Parrot's Drumble
A drumble is a local term for a stream running through a wooded valley: the site was formerly owned by the Parrot family. It is an ancient woodland and an important site for specialist woodland plants. The stream runs bright orange with iron oxide leaching from old mineworkings in the area.

The site is now managed by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. The SWT's page on Parrot's Drumble is at LinkExternal link.
