Liverpool Canal Link Project

The Liverpool Canal Link is a £22 million pound project that has linked the Leeds-Liverpool Canal from Stanley Dock, via Princes Dock, to Salthouse Dock and the Albert Dock complex. It is 1.4 miles long and has involved creating new locks, and channels and tunnels past the Pier Head.

The new canal was officially opened on the 22 April 2009.
