The Italian Job, Green Lane
The Italian Job, Green Lane
This artwork on the southern end of the Green Lane subway under the A45 is part of a project completed in 2007 to try and reduce the vandalising of this area, by getting local young people to work with graffiti artists to develop locally-inspired images to decorate the subway. This records the interior tunnel chase scenes from the 1969 film 'The Italian Job' which were filmed in the pipes of the Sowe valley sewer scheme in Stoke Aldermoor (SP3677), whilst it was under construction.
