Hengistbury Head: a breakwater is hit by a wave
Hengistbury Head: a breakwater is hit by a wave
Today's windy conditions made for some spectacular waves, such as this one which has engulfed one of the breakwaters on the short southeast-facing part of the beach (see SZ1790 : Hengistbury Head: beach markers and waves).

The distinctive outline of The Needles, at the western tip of the Isle of Wight, is visible almost inevitably in the distance.
