SZ1891 : Mudeford: beacon at the tip of the spit

taken 8 years ago, near to Mudeford, Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole, England

Mudeford: beacon at the tip of the spit
Mudeford: beacon at the tip of the spit
Looking along The Run, the Christchurch Harbour entrance channel, from almost the very tip of Mudeford Spit, the sand-spit separating the harbour from the open sea.

This is one of two beacons in this immediate vicinity - seen together in SZ1891 : Mudeford: beacons on Mudeford Spit. Their tops have been changed since that 2009 photo, from round fez-like things to these hollowed crosses.

Mudeford Quay is across on the right.
