Looking towards Bala station of the Bala Lake Railway
The very long footbridge is just visible. In GWR/BR days the station was called Bala Lake Halt. The main station in the area was then Bala Junction which lies about half a mile to the east. There was also a Bala Town station on the Blaenau Festiniog line which was very convenient for the town. Both of the latter are now, of course, long closed.
