View eastward, towards Folkestone and Dover, from the end of the main Up platform. Passing on the Up Through line, the Boat Express is headed by one of the several Bulleid Light Pacific's, No. 34092 'City of Wells', built 9/49, not rebuilt and withdrawn 11/64: it was preserved and operates on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. On the left, at the Down main platform is SR Maunsell class V 'Schools' 4-4-0 No. 30911 'Dover' (built 12/32, withdrawn 12/62) on a Down express.
