The ornately-carved façade facing Donegall Square East. Part of it is covered by mesh to keep roosting and perching birds at bay.
Ocean Buildings, Belfast

A sandstone building, at the corner of Donegall Square East (nos 1-3) and Chichester Street, completed in 1902 to a design by Young and Mackenzie. Originally called “The Ocean Buildings” and also the “Oceanic” and sometimes “The Pearl” . Notable for the many carvings by James Edgar Winter LinkExternal link*.
