NZ4152 : Ryhope Village Dene

taken 9 years ago, near to Ryhope, Sunderland, England

Ryhope Village Dene
Ryhope Village Dene
An incised valley running down to the sea from Ryhope village. The upper part of the Dene to the north-west was effectively destroyed in the 1850s by the works associated with the Ryhope Colliery.

Not to be confused with Ryhope Dene, about one kilometre to the south.
