Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway
Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway
The Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway, a cliff railway in a part of North Devon where very steep gradients are common. It was a big issue in the 19th Century when the cliffs that separated Lynton and Lynmouth prevented economic development in this part of the world. The railway was operational in 1890 and has been in use since, nowadays it is a listed monument.
